Diabetes :Seriously Worsen Our Life’s Quality
Today I will talk about diabetes, a disease suffered by many people today and some tips to get along better. There are things that people with diabetes should know. A free food is one that contains less than 20 calories and carbohydrates than 5 grams per serving, such as sugar-free gelatin, diet sodas, sugarless gum, sugarless syrups or diet sodas. We must understand that any food that has sugar does not mean it has no carbohydrates. To verify this you can compare the total amount of carbohydrate in a food with no sugar and very high sugar. If this difference is small, choose the one you want, but if large, should opt for the product without sugar.
We must also bear in mind that food “no added sugar” may have a high carbohydrate content, so to stop at the label to control the intake of the latter are going to take.
Something that many people do not realize is that fat-free foods may contain a carbohydrate percentage much higher and almost an equal amount of calories that the products they replace, so not a very desirable option. An example of this is the fat-free cookies.
There are many methods or tricks to control your intake of sugars during the day. I will mention one of them, the “plate method”. Is to divide your plate into quarters. At breakfast, a room is occupied and half meat, flour or starch. So do not use the full plate. At lunch and dinner quarter will be used for meat, starches and other for the remaining half for vegetables, or one quarter to another for fruit and vegetables.
Diabetes can have serious consequences and greatly worsen our quality of life. so we must take good care of our diet and healthy habits to acquire, thus making the disease as smoothly as possible.
